“I’m Already There” is a dramatic feature with an indie movie feel and some funny moments. "I'm Already There" is the story of Sean, a young man in college who comes home for summer--the first time in three years. Aimless, and having fallen on difficult times, he hopes that being home will be a much needed retreat.
While home, Sean reunites with his childhood friend Dylan; a frenetic, but charming, pizza parlor savant who never left town. Dylan lives with their former teacher, Big J, who since was fired and divorced after being caught smoking pot. Together the two of them go on a series of misadventures fueled by alcohol and a corncob pipe.
Sean also rekindles a relationship with Marlene, a girl he pined after in high school. Driven to succeed and never come back, Marlene bears a deep secret, and an equal resentment for their town, but slowly opens herself up to Sean as the summer progresses.
When Sean learns Big J's dog is missing, he dedicates all his time searching for it. Unfortunately, after a deal for some pot gone wrong, someone is searching for him too.
The Kickstarter for the feature is located here, along with several links to the test scenes shot for proof of concept and examples of the team's work.

The following roles are needed:
Sean Duncan – Male lead, 23. Likeable, good-natured, but aimless. Used to be something of a burn out in high school, but cleaned up his act a bit. Goes to college for computer science, although he’d rather be doing something else. Comes home for the summer and reunites with his childhood friend Dylan, and former crush Marlene.
Dylan Fisher – Male lead, 23. The small town savant. Frenetic and charming. Never left his hometown, never went to college, always goes with the flow. Spends his time living in a souped up van behind Big J’s, managing a pizza parlor, and partying. Is extremely welcoming back of his best friend Sean.
Marlene Summers – Female lead, 23. Lovely, stubborn, and brave. Was the kind of girl who’d cry if she got a C on a paper in high school. Resents her small town upbringings, and has dedicated her life to make sure she never has to return after this last summer. Spends her free time with Sean, where a hesitant relationship begins.
Ash – Male supporting, 18. A senior in high school. Considers himself the big man on campus, although he’s just a small time pot dealer. Thinks too highly of himself for someone you’d find hanging out with stray dogs under a bridge. Supplies Sean and Dylan with their necessities.
Big J – Male supporting, 30-35. The former “cool” teacher who was fired and divorced after being caught smoking pot with students. Now lives alone and spends most of his time at the bottom of a bottle. Had a dog named Mr. Gordon, but he recently ran away.
Dan – Male, supporting. 22-30. A hot-headed drug dealer from the neighboring town of Oak Dale. May be linked to local cases of missing dogs.
Ms. Duncan – Female supporting, 45-55. Sean’s mother. Supportive but grounded. Only wants the best for her children, and let’s them form their own paths in life.
Em Duncan – Female supporting, 15-18. Sean’s little sister. Sassy and critical of everything in life, especially Sean. Has become the family artist.
Party Pat – Male supporting, 25-30. Think Matthew McConaughey from “Dazed and Confused”, or The Fonz. The tragically cool older guy who is slowly becoming a sleazy creep. Owns a shack and a boat on the river after a work related accident.
Tiffany – Female supporting, 19-22. Party Pat’s new girlfriend. Worked as a stripper but was quickly smitten by the older man. Ditzy, but naively sweet.
Mrs. Summers – Female supporting, 40-55. Marlene’s mother. Motherly, caring, a little goofy. She balances out her much more serious husband.
Mr. Summers – Male supporting, 40-55. Marlene’s father. A doctor who is stern and driven. Cares deeply about his daughter, and tries not to be too tough. A man’s man.
Man – Male supporting, 40-60. A small town stiff of an official, in charge of Sean’s hearing as to whether he should get his license back after drunkenly driving.
Another Man – Male supporting, 40-60. A suit and tie. Sits in on Sean’s hearing.
Woman – Female supporting, 40-60. A plank of a human. Sits in on Sean’s hearing.
Mrs. Fisher – Female supporting, 50-60. Dylan’s eccentric mother. Warm and caring, she is everything wholesome that Dylan would rebel against.
Greg – Male supporting, 18-22. Former high school classmate who sees Dylan at the pizza parlor. Typical college student who looks down on his small town upbringings.
Heather - Female supporting, 20-30. Works at the library. Does what she wants. Likes to mess with people. Stubborn, cheeky.
